Weekends - 8am-11.00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, 10am-9pm on Sundays.

Weekdays – daytime (8am to 8pm)

The Barn is primarily available to rent from April to October, excluding Easter. If you are interested in a date outside these months, please do get in touch with us and we may be able to help.

The Black Barn

The Barn is a restored, but essentially original, 17th Century tythe barn, situated in the village of Stansted in Kent. It is in the heart of the village, next to the picturesque Norman church of St Mary. The Barn is an exceptional venue for events of most types, including:

  • Wedding Receptions
  • Lunch parties
  • Art shows & Exhibitions
  • Concerts
  • Corporate events / seminars
  • Film shoots

The Barn is ideal for seating 70-100 people, although it is also suitable for smaller parties. The following facilities are offered:

  • Kitchen 
  • Toilet facilities
  • Parking
  • Tables and chairs for up to 100 guests
  • Electricity and background heating system
For weddings and lunches, we generally include use of the garden in our rental price.

Please note that we are not licensed for wedding ceremonies, although there are several venues nearby where you can get married.
